First it was Jason David and
the New Orleans Saints. Then there was Nick Harper and the Tennessee
Titans. Last Sunday; and I still love him, Brandon Stokley with The
Denver Broncos.
And now the Indianapolis
Colts met up with former Colts Cato June and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
on Oct. 7, they checked him off the list, too.
Tampa Bay came to the RCA
Dome with a 3 game winning streak and noted as one of the NFL's more
highly regarded defenses.
The Buccaneers are also rated
as the number 8 ranked leading rushing offense, averaging 137 yards a game.
The Buccaneers alleged ground
attack managed 17 yards on 12 carries October 7, 2007 against The
Colts. Yes, in the whole game' ONLY 17 yards.
Tampa Bay had 8 offensive
possessions. 5 were 3 and outs.
Oh, your wondering, isn't
that the game where they played without their leading rusher,
Cadillac Williams?
Oh, isn't that the same game
where Colts played without their leading rusher, Joseph Addai?
Hell, The Colts played that
whole game without starting outside linebackers Rob Morris and Freddy
Keiaho, defensive tackle Dan Klecko and also without Pro Bowl safety
Bob Sanders. Sanders, considered one of the NFL's top players at his
position. Colts Offense was without the 8 time Pro Bowl receiver,
Marvin Harrison along with Addai, the Colts' feature back, against
Tampa Bay's usually strong defense. Colts were also lacking wide
receiver Aaron Moorehead and tight end Ben Utecht.
Also inactive for the Colts
Sunday was Cornerback/kick returner T.J. Rushing
9 Colts Starters declared
inactive against the Buccaneers game Sunday.
Let me also say that Tampa
Bay hadn't allowed a point during the first half of any of its past 3
games. It had allowed 44 points all season.
The Colts took 2:49 to cover
42 yards on their first possession to take a 7-0 lead, and like The
Energizer Bunny; they just kept going and going . . .
As the Colts piled up 147
yards for 33 points to Bucs 14 points.
Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden
who put it best when he said, "That damn Peyton Manning. He
really irritated me today."
On With The Show . . .
Buccaneers win the Toss and
elect to receive.
Adam Vinatieri kicks it off
73 yards into the Buccuneers End Zone (-3) as M.Jones runs it
back for 27 yards toi their own 24.
Colts initiate their Defense
without delay as cornerback Tim Jennings limited Joey Galloway to a 5
yard reception on Tampa Bay's first play. Boiman sliced through the
line and pulled down Earnest Graham for a loss of a yard on second
down. Then on 3rd and 6, Dwight Freeney and Raheem Brock chased down
quarterback Jeff Garcia to stop the Bucs drive with a 5 yard sack.

Bidwell punts it away for 48
yards to The Colts 29 as
new roster addition Craphonso
Thorpe reads the coverage well and sprints down the Buccaneers
sideline for 29 yards to The Tampa Bay's 42. The crowd is loud.
Colts Ball
at 13:08
As did The Colts Defense;
Colts Offense also initiated their dealings without delay as Manning
hit Clark for a gain of 9 yards on their 1st down and fill in Full
Back, Kenton Keith ran it for another 7 to pick up the First Down and some.
Keith ran the ball again on
their next play for 4 yards. Although Manning threw incomplete to
Reggie Wayne after the ball was tipped at the line, Peyton hit Clark
for 10 yards and The First Down on the next play.
Colts are on the Buccaneers
12 yard line knocking on the door as Keith advances the ball for 2 yards.
2nd down and 8 Dallas Clark
lined up at tight end on the right side of the line, Clark briefly
engaged a defender with a block before releasing. Peyton shuffled the
ball out in front of him to what appeared to be an unaware Dallas
Clark as he outstretches his reach and snags the ball out of the air.
Clark then cut up field where he broke the tackle attempt of safety
Jermaine Phillips. Clark was then hit by cornerback Ronde Barber
around the 3 yard line, as Clark dragged Barber, and then stretched
the football across the goal line.

they were to run the ball as Pittman was stuffed for a loss of 4
yards by Raheem Brock on the first play.

Then on 2nd and 14
Pittman was stuffed again for a loss of 2 by Dwight Freeney on the
next play.
On 3rd and 16 Garcia
connected with a short pass to Pittman as Matt Giordano and Gary
Brackett stops him from getting no more than 9 yards on the play. Not
even close to move the chains.
Bucs punt again as Bidwell
kicks it for 46 yards to Colts 22 and Thorpe returns it for 2 yards.
Colts Ball
at 8:02
Kenton Keith was unable to
move the ball on their first play, however, Dallas Clark was able to
gain 7 yards from a Manning reception, while it took 3 Buccaneers
Defenders, including former player Cato June to bring him down.
Anthony Gonzalez picked up
the First Down as Manning hit him for 11 yards.
Keith again, this time for 3
yards. Manning from the shotgun, fires a short pass to Reggie for the
First Down.
Kenton Keith took the next 4
plays. The first for 1 yard, the second for a 7 yard pass and another
run for 1 more yard. 1 yard short of The First Down, Colts go for it
on Bucs 36 yard line.
Keith takes the ball to the
right and breaks through the Bucs Defense for The First Down plus a yard.
Manning then found Reggie
Wayne who jukes his defender and then jumps for the First Down.
Manning then finds Gonzalez
for about a 5 yard reception, jukes his defender and gains another 2 yards.
Manning then hits Wayne for
another First Down on a 5 yard reception.
Rookie Clifton Dawson came in
and gains 4 yards on his first NFL carry putting The Colts within 7
yards from the end zone to close out the First Quarter.
SECOND QUARTER
Colts Ball
continued
First play of the second
quarter and its Wayne one-on-one against one of the NFL's elite cover
corners, Ronde Barber. Barber holds and then drags Wayne down in The
End Zone. Barber is called for pass interference. Wayne is so with
it, he actually catches the penalty flag before it can drop. Then he
does the dropping of the flag himself.

Buccaneers try again, yet to
no avail as Garcia did get off a 5 yard pass to Graham, however on
the next play Hagler and Bethea stuffs Graham for a loss of 3.
On 3rd and 8 Garcia hits
Hillard as Marlin Jackson and Kelvin Hayden stops him from getting
the First Down as he picks up 5 yards.
Again The Bucs punt it away
as Bidwell kicks it for only 26 yards and it rolls out of bounds at
The Colts 34.
Colts Ball
at 12:39
Manning threw incomplete on
his first 2 passes with Clark paying dearly on the second. On 2nd and
10, Peyton fired one over the middle to a deep Dallas Clark. Dallas
actually had the ball in hand as an unknowing Clark was leveled by a
Jackson forearm, ball flies loose and Clark went down; hard!

The Indianapolis Star
I gasped as the whole
stadium at the same time did as well. You could just feel the hurt,
the hurt that came upon Dallas Clark.
Clark didn't have any time on
the seam route pass to see Jackson coming. Jackson gave him an
absolutely nasty vicious shot.
Clark stayed on the turf for
a few minutes, initially gripping his chest.
"I couldn't breathe
for a while and it was kind of freaking me out,'' he said. "I
was tossing and turning because I didn't know if I should get up and
start running to the hospital.
"I could run, but I
couldn't breathe.''
Clark finally got up and
jogged off the field. "Once I realized I was OK, I started
feeling everything, making sure nothing was broken and I went back to work,''
he said.
This was just a very bad
drive for The Colts as Manning tries to go deep to Wayne, who doesn't
look back for the ball until it was too late.

Indianapolis Star
It wouldn't have mattered as
Jackson drifts over for the interception and ran it back for 48 yards
to The Colts 24 yard line. However, Buccaneers Chukwurah was called
for an illegal Block above The Waist and the penalty was enforced at
The Colts 46 making it only a 26 yard return.

Tampa Bay appears to be back
in the game with a pretty good run off the turnover.
Pittman ran for 4 yards on
their first play and Garcia connected with Pittman on the next play
for 7 yards. Buccaneers 1st First Down, wow!
Garcia connected with
Galloway for a gain of 5 on their next play yet; Hagler stuffed
Pittman for a loss of 3 on the next.
3rd and 8 at The Colts 43 and
The Bucs pick up another First Down as Garcia hit Galloway for 13 yards.
Bucs are really making a fine
attempt at this as Garcia finds Hilliard for 16 and another First Down.
On Bucs next play, Pittman
ran for 4 yards before getting injured.
Michael Pittman is being
carted off the field after his right leg got twisted like a pretzel.
On 2nd and 6 Garcia takes a
nasty hit after scrambling for 7 yards to The Colts 3 yard line and
then he hits Smith for the 3 yard score on the next play.

the next play forcing The Colts to punt for the first time in the game.
Hunter kicks it away
for 33 yards to Bucs 20 and Jones signals for the Fair Catch.

again for an additional 1 yard.
Fletcher picked up a First
Down when Peyton hit him for 16 yards.
Keith didn't do too well as
he went backwards for a loss of 1. Peyton then found Reggie for 8 and
then hit Gonzalez for 13 and The First Down.
Dawson ran for 5 yards and
Peyton hit Clark for 4. Dawson then ran 2 more plays gaining 3 yards
on both. Colts are sitting on The Bucs 11 yard line.
Keith came back in and ran
for 4 yards to the Bucs 7 and then took the next play 7 yards into
the End Zone.

Colts Ball
at 5:42
Getting kind of frustrating
huh, Bucs?
Colts get the ball. Colts score.
Bucs get the ball. Bucs punt.
Colts get the ball. Colts score.
Bucs get the ball. Bucs punt.
Oh, did I hear in the back of
your mind . . .
That's the same thing the
Patriots are doing.
DON'T GET ME STARTED!
Patriots are unbeaten . . .
To a bunch of Teams that
couldn't beat Tech High School's Junior Varsity League.
The Colts are unbeaten . . .
against Teams that are an NFL challenge.
Brady's going to pass
Manning's Touchdown Record.
Please, please, please put
Peyton Manning and The Colts in the same pathetic easy ass schedule
as The Patriots have and see if Peyton won't put up stats that NOBODY
in this lifetime WOULD EVER TOUCH!
AAAGGGGGGGGgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Back to the game at hand . . .
Yes, The Colts proceed to
move on down the field as
Dawson started this drive off
with gains of 1 and then 9 yards for The First Down then another run
for 3.
Then Keith came in and he is
simply fucking remarkable as he plows through for 13 yards; then on
the next play he leaps and bounces through for 12 more yards.
Lawton came in, yet was not
very beneficial as he was stopped at the line of scrimmage for no gain.
Manning then went back to the
air game as he found Gonzalez for 6 yards.
Kenton Keith again, as he
rips off down the field for 15 yards getting the ball just inside the
Bucs 10 for a First and Goal.
Colts will take this drive
into the 4th Quarter as there are 6 seconds left on the clock in The
3rd Quarter and Manning threw incomplete on the next play and Keith
attempted to run the ball, yet made it nowhere on the next.

It just so happens The Bucs
actually found rhythm and proceeded to move down the field for a
Touchdown and as it just so happens, their last and final score of
the game.
Garcia starts out by dumping
over the middle to Hilliard for 5 yards then went incomplete on the
next play and then another 5 yards over the middle to Hilliard again,
Graham ran for 9 just short
of another First Down and Hilliard picked up 6 and The First on a
Garcia reception.
Garcia then overthrew trying
to go deep to Galloway.
Stevens caught a 5 yard
reception and Galloway picked up a huge 27 yards to The Colts 24 on
the next play.
Graham made a 13 yard gain
off a pass from Garcia yet failed to get anywhere as he tried to run
through The Line.
Hilliard picked up 8 yards to
The Colts 3 yard line and Garcia found Smith for the Touch Down.

Bucs try for an Onside Kick
as Bryant kicks it 12 yards to The Buccaneers 42 where it was
recovered by Bucs Defensive Back, Kalvin Pearson . I wonder if he was
the first to get to the ball because he was offsides, which was the
case and 5 yards were enforced at Bucs 30.
Bryant kicks again from their
25 to The Colts 10 as Thorpe runs it back for 6 to their own 16.
Colts Ball

Colts are on the march again
as Kenton Keith breaks out for a whopping 22 yards then another spurt

Dawson ran again, this time
for 3 and then Manning threw incomplete to Dawson on the next play.
Kenton Keith moved the ball
the rest of the way down the field as he ran the next 4 plays for
gains of 12, 2, 1 and then 6 to end up on The Bucs 17 yard line.
